Dear Dr. Riachi,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your help. I want you to know that you did not simply change my life; you gave me my life back.
I have suffered with urinary incontinence for over 2 1/2 years. It was a very long time and the most terrible time of my life, humiliating, to the point that I have not worked in over a year because I was too embarrassed to go out and work, fearing that I would wind up having the problem at work and being further embarrassed.
When I did work the year before last, I would be at work and have accidents and ruin property at work, worse, everyone knew about it and people would say things about me behind my back and I would not want to go back the next day (but I had to).
You are a superior person, professional, you have an incredible personality, you're humorous, empathetic, and what is most and more outstanding about you is that you truly do care about your patients and you take the time to listen and hear them and this is something that most physicians in this day and age (often) forget to do.
Even though at this time in my life I have horrendous insurance and I am not working as yet, you treated me with dignity and just as you would any other patient, and that alone simply makes you a genuine, wonderful doctor and human being.
You told me exactly how and what would transpire regarding my surgery and recovery, not once did that information change in any way. My surgery and recovery are going exactly how you said they would and that is a great surprise to me, and I am thankful.
I have been in hospitals that I almost did not make it out of twice. In both cases, I was brought as close to death as anyone could be without dying, human error, mechanical error, etc. My greatest fear was that I would not make it through this surgery and I would leave my two little guys all alone in life, without a mommy. I had been to many consultations with other surgeons, and I chose you because I have read that you're the best surgeon, and I knew after I met you that you would take care of me. I felt enormous trust for you the moment I met you, since you have something about you that exudes trust and great confidence.
I will remain ever grateful to you for giving me back my life. No one can imagine what it is like to live without quality of life. It has been a long and sad road. I am now ready to begin again and I have much hope for my future. More importantly, you took great care with me and sent me home to my little ones and, for that, I will always remember you, remain grateful to you, and hold you in the highest esteem and regard, forever.
Thank you, Dr. Riachi, from my children and myself from our hearts.
It was a pleasure to have met you and been your patient. You will go down in my mental history book as my savior! In addition, you have my family's gratitude as well.
Best regards,
C. Lopatcong, NJ
