Last 10th of November 2021, I was diagnosed with endometrioid adenocarcinoma grade 1. It was devastating as I want to have my 3rd child. But the only option I got was the removal of my uterus. I have met a doctor in another hospital and he informed me that the uterus along with the ovaries, fallopian tube and lymph nodes will be removed through Laparoscopic Hysterectomy but of course, being away from my home country, school year of my kids is ongoing, travel restrictions and a lot more factors, I have decided to undergo with my surgery here in Dubai and of course not having encountered such scenario, I have to go for the best. One of the nurse colleague of my friend highly recommended Dr. Labib E. Riachi of Mediclinic City Hospital. So of course, we have to get a 2nd opinion.

When we met Dr. Labib, we were impressed by his experience and he advised that I will undergo for a Robotic Laparoscopic Hysterectomy, less invasive, faster recovery and in lay man’s term, they can see more what's inside of me, therefore as of that time we met him, only removal of my uterus will be done and ovaries will be decided on the day of the procedure. To cut the story short, I was scheduled for Robotic Laparoscopic Hysterectomy last 30thNovember 2021. During the procedure, the uterus was removed, cyst from my ovary was removed but I get to keep my ovaries.

Dr. Labib and the procedure he has done was exceptional. First 2 days after the surgery, obviously it hurts a lot, but on the 4thday, I don’t even have to drink a pain killer as the pain is bearable. I pray to God that whatever happened to me wont happen to any women. However, if in case, I would highly recommend Dr. Labib E. Riachi of Mediclinic.

I am grateful for the tremendous procedure he has done for me. In addition to above, it’s the 1sttime I have been to Mediclinic City Hospital and the Nurse who took really good care of me named Bule was also exceptional, thank you, thank you so much! You treated me like I’m your child 😊the world is a better place because of the people like you Dr. Labib and Nurse Bule. Overall, 5 starts for Mediclinic City Hospital. Happy New Year! – From Paulette Santos

Robotic Laparoscopic Hysterectomy by Dr. Labib Riachi

After visiting many doctors I found out that I had multiple fibroids. They advised many solutions like a coil or was focussing on other unrelated problems. Then I consulted Dr. Amal who informed me of the actual problem and the possible solution and directed me to Dr. Labib for the next steps. He explained what had to be to done and said that some of the fibroids were the size of an orange, which caused my uterus to weigh 9x more and unbearably heavy bleeding every 3 weeks.

This was the real reason behind my constant exhaustion and muscle + bone pain, and especially since I had anaemia, my heart was in danger too. He told me that I had to get a hysterectomy; and that to prevent any further, life-threatening problems in the future, it was necessary that I agreed to the surgery.

At first, I felt incredibly anxious but Dr. Labib explained the entire process in detail and even showed me videos of how the procedure will look. He assured me that I was in great hands and I had complete trust in him. To start the process, he carried out an iron infusion 15 days before the surgery to boost up my HB.

The surgery itself was worrying for me however Dr. Labib made it much easier for me as he continuously checked up on me and made sure I was fully aware of what was happening. I was given general anaesthesia and the surgery was done robotically by Dr. Labib. The day after the surgery, he debriefed me on the specifics of the surgery and said that everything was normal and that my recovery period won’t be very long.

I feel so much better now and I am immensely thankful to Dr. Amal and Dr. Labib for all of their service and support and I am very grateful that they convinced me to go with ahead with the procedure.

Z.A: Fibroids Robotic Surgery by Dr. Labib Riachi
I’m Sarah, I’m in my thirties, very active and workout regularly, I always felt healthy and never had hormonal imbalances. I discovered "by chance”, that I have endometriosis. The diagnosis started with a simple pelvic ultrasound after consulting a dermatologist. They discovered a 9cm endometriotic ovarian cyst. I consulted different gynecologist to finally find dr. Labib Riachi who showed me from the first consultation confidence and expertise in treating my case using robotic surgery to remove the cyst.

Dr Labib was very friendly, and made me feel very confident about going through with the robotic surgery, with high precision, eliminating my fear of loosing one of the ovaries during this procedure.

The surgery went smoothly, though in addition to the cyst, he also found endometriotic adhesions and lesions in other areas of the pelvis, and thankfully he completely removed them.

I was discharged the next day from the hospital, with very small incisions in my belly, and resumed my normal life in few days. I went back to cycling in less than 2 weeks and also to my workouts, also doing a 5km run at the end of the second week.I was very lucky and grateful that I met dr. Riachi and that he handled my medical case. Since the first consultation he was understanding, straightforward and patient in answering all my questions, and always very responsive. His expertise as a surgeon, more precisely with the advanced robotic procedure he used saved me!

Thank you so very much for taking care of me and being so skilled at what you do.

Warm regards,

Sarah
Sarah: Dr. Labib Riachi treated my case using robotic surgery

I came to see Dr Labib with a large dermoid cyst on my left ovary. Dr Labib and Mediclinic City Hospital gave me excellent care throughout my treatment. From beginning to end, he was always so patient, available to answer any questions and queries and quick to respond, no matter the time. This made the whole process much more comfortable for me and my family.

Thankfully, the procedure went extremely smoothly despite challenges. Dr Labib safely removed the mass with minimum incisions, far less than I had expected. He is highly skilled and a real expert in his field.

I could not have wished for a better result. He is a wonderful surgeon who you can have full confidence in. He has been so kind and generous with his time and for that I am so grateful.

A.D: Dr. Labib Riachi is a wonderful surgeon
Today Dr Labib,
I laughed until I cried,
I laughed without an inkling of fear inside,

I had lost all hope that this would one day be true,
I lost all hope until I met you.

God bless you always,
I wrote a little something to try to express how I felt today thanks to you.

Dr. Shady

After years of suffering from heavy bleeding and chronic pain I am finally free from it. I owe it all to Dr. Labib Riachi. Both my husband and I were really scared about me having surgery. We "Googled" and read, watched YouTube videos related to hysterectomy and myomectomy and came to a decision to go for robotic surgery. When my OB-GYN physician recommended Dr. Riachi, I immediately made an appointment with him and went for the first consultation.

Before my first visit with Dr. Riachi, I was very nervous, but he was very professional and, at the same time, very kind. He explained the procedure to me and as per my request, he even explained everything to my husband over the phone.

Even though I went to him at the last stage, Dr. Riachi and his staff immediately took care of my issue and was able to do my surgery just two weeks after the consultation.

As I sit here now, it has been two weeks since the surgery. I am feeling great, and I certainly feel like I am moving in the right direction.

I am so blessed and happy that my doctor here in NJ recommended Dr. Riachi, and I am thankful to God that he chose the best doctor for me!

I wish Dr. Riachi great success and I would highly recommend him to anyone. I will be forever grateful to him for all he has done for me.

My first appointment with Dr. Riachi was for a routine check up. He was very pleasant and professional. During my check up he found a cyst in my right ovary which he warned me was very large. I was nervous and shocked because I had no symptoms and never felt any pain. He immediately told me that I was going to be just fine and he would take care of me. The way he spoke to me and calmed me down made me realize I was in great hands and that I had made the right choice by going to see him.

Because my cyst was so large he told me that I was looking at the possibility of having my right ovary removed but that he would try his hardest to save it and to perform the surgery robotically so that it would be less invasive and leave me with minimal scaring. I am 29 and have no kids so I was hoping for the best. Thanks to his hard work my surgery was a success. Not only was he able to save my ovary but he performed a major surgery the least invasive way possible by using the robot. I was so happy and relieved to know he worked tirelessly to deliver the best outcome possible for me. By week two of my recovery I was feeling great and in a month I was able to return to work and my normal routine.

I'd recommend Dr. Riachi to anyone in a heartbeat. He is truly one of the best and his dedication and compassion make him one of a kind. I am forever grateful to him and his staff.

Mrs. B

I was a healthy 35 year-old with two kids and a normal menstrual cycle. I started feeling tired, losing weight and my menstrual cycle was heavy, lasting up to seven days. Because I work in the medical field I decided to have lab work done. My results came back with an Hgb level at 4. I had to be admitted to the hospital to receive to two bags of blood and, while I was there they discovered I had a huge fibroid. I saw Dr. Riachi in September, 2013 after hearing a lot of good things about him. From the first visit I felt comfortable. He was straight to the point and gave me very detailed information about my condition. He gave me my options of either having the partial hysterectomy or taking medication. I know that I'm not a dedicated pill taker, so the best thing for me to do was have the procedure done.

By the next visit I was being scheduled for my procedure. At first, I was kind of worried because I usually go to Newark Beth Israel for all my procedures but in this case I went to Trinitas. The day came and everything went SMOOTHLY!

I came in, got registered and they set me up. Dr. Riachi came in to ask me how I was feeling. He explained everything again and away I went. My recovery went well! I had to stay in the hospital overnight because my blood pressure was slightly lower than normal. The nurses at Trinitas were great! I didn't have to wait for anything. I only had to push the bell once and I got an immediate response. Now I'm 2 months post-op and feeling better than before. My Hgb is back to normal. I'm off iron pills. There are no noticeable scars and they healed perfectly. With having a partial I don't have to feel less than a woman because I still have my ovaries and my cervix. So I still have my hormones! I FEEL GREAT! I'm happy and my husband is super happy! :)

Thanks, Dr Riachi
